Monday 29 October 2007 @ 7:26 am

We were all view to the mega launch of Kanthaswamy. It has become a trend setter of sorts usher in new standards for film launches in the future. Starting from the invite with in-built LCD screens showing the teaser promo of the movie to embracing of two villages by the producers, it spells innovation in every facet of film making. Vikram
The shooting of Kanthaswamy is going on in full swing and the makers seem to be snowed under by the launch function response from the fans and viewers that they are currently rethinking about their already planned strategies for the film.

This multi crore project is now all set to go grander as they felt their original plans were outdone by the expectations the promos created.
The wave were felt by the crew which decided to go in for some tweaking up of scenes to make it live up to people’s expectations and even go beyond that. For this reason they might buy more time; anything to out beat the audience’s expectations is a welcome effort.
Hope this amendment doesn’t force them to digress from the original story but just remain an embossing.

When will Beema see a release?

It doesn’t matter if films get delayed and are released late; even Pithamagan took a long time before seeing a release. There is some more shooting due for the film; soon it would see a release.

There are certain rumours that you are going to do some Hindi films…

I still have a lot to achieve in the Tamil industry itself, only after that will I even think of Hindi. My fans range from kids to old people, even Amitabh Bachchan appreciated my role in Anniyan.

I have several friends in the Hindi scene like Abhishek Bachchan and Vivek Oberoi, yet I am not interested in doing Hindi films at the moment.

Will you team with director Bala again?

If Bala says that I will suit the role, then I will surely act under him.

What is your next film?

Kandasami directed by Susi Ganesan, the director of Thiruttu Payale would be my next project. Shooting will commence in March.
