Harris Jayaraj has composed yet another winner with Bheema. His music for earlier Vikatma films Saami and Anniyan have been successful. He continues to weave the magic of his musical notes in this film as well.
Listen to the music of Bheema
‘Oru Mugam’ Lyricist: Pa. Vijay
National award-winner Naresh Iyer catches your attention with his strong vocals. Ably supported by Krish, ‘Oru Mugam’ is a wonderful number. A catchy tune with heavy use of percussion, the songs seems like the intro song for protagonist Bheema (Vikram). The composition is full of vigour and passion, the lyrics of Pa. Vijay toeing the same line.
‘Mudhal Mazhai’ Lyricist: Na. Muthukumar
A signature Harris Jayaraj number, ‘Mudhal Mazhai’ is just like the first drops of rain and equally welcome. Hariharan’s soothing vocals are like light showers in the hills. Mahathi’s voice adds to the gentleness of Hari; together, the two weave an emotional memory of our first loves. Though Prasanna is mentioned in the credits, the only other voice that’s heard in the beginning and the interludes sounds like a female voice!
‘Rangu Rangamma’ Lyrics: Pa.Vijay
A folk number, the song opens with drumbeats. What follows is a real treat! Vijay sounds great in this kind of song which we rarely hear him sing. But the real joy is Kailash Kher’s rustic voice. Kailash has made a name for himself, exposé this kind of folk-based songs in Hindi and proves that language is no barrier. The sharpness in his voice is complemented by Swarnalatha’s vocals. She is no alien to this genre either, and renders complete justice. Pa. Vijay’s lyrics are full of life. From the sound, it could be the item number picturised on Sherin and Vikram.
‘Ragasiya Kanavugal’ Lyrics: Yugabharathi
A romantic song with a tempo like a gentle breeze, ‘Ragasiya kanavugal’ touches your heart and brings back all your secret dreams and aspirations. Madhusree reminds us of Sadhana Sargam, who is the veteran in this type of breezy numbers. Hariharan is again a pleasure; with Madhu, the two voices together are very soulful, reminding us of the first time we fell in love.
‘Siru Parvayale’ Lyrics: Thamarai
This is a typical Karthik song, peppy and forceful. Harini’s voice is sweet and blends well with Karthik’s. It is a run-of-the-mill tune, no risks taken. But still, it is nice to listen to. Thamarai, a Harris Jayaraj regular, has infused the lyrics with emotion.
‘Enadhuiyrae’ Lyrics: Yugabharathi
Three wonderful voices come together for this slow romantic ballad. Nikhil’s voice blends well with the ladies’, but seems to lack the emotion, the passion that is bountiful in the female track. The voices of Chinmayee, Sadhana and Sowmya are so well blended that it is difficult to differentiate between the three. An interesting experiment, which Harris has often tried earlier and succeeded in.
It’s not out of choice, but ill-luck! Vikram’s Bheema has been waiting for release for nearly a year now, but every time we think it will hit the screens, someone else thinks otherwise.
Directed by Lingusamy, Bheema brought Vikram and Trisha together again after the very successful Saami. Rising starlet Shirin is also a part of what is expected to be a fast-paced adventure on the silver screen. Harris Jeyaraj’s tunes created quite a stir. Lovely melodies and stepped-up beats mark the hit tracks of this movie. And wehave been waiting to check out the visuals.
The final post-production work is under way; we are given to understand that the movie has finally disentangled itself from all its financial woe and will release on Pongal.
Shooting of Kanthaswamy, starring Vikram and Shriya in the lead, directed by Susi Ganesan has been stopped for a while following an accident that occured on the set.
Director Susi Ganesan was injured while planning a shot with the cameraman Ekambaram at the Chennai Boat Club. A rod put up as part of the set fell on the director’s head. Susi Ganesan was immediately rushed to the hospital. He is fine and the deep cut in his head has been sutured. The shooting will resume after the director is better.
Produced by Kalaipuli S. Thanu, Kanthswamy features Vikram in 10 different roles. The movie has Telugu actor Krishna and Malayalam actor Indrajit also in significant roles. Carrying all the specialties, audiences are eagerly waiting for the release of the movie.
First it was the Superstar and now Ajith and Vikram follow go with.
Gone are the days of the simple dressed leading man. Along with glamorous heroines, the actors too are setting the screen on fire with their style and looks.
Sivaji sort of set the trend for this in Kollywood, which is being followed by Kanthaswamy. This Susi Ganesan film stars Vikram and Shriya in the lead. The entire team is working very hard for the film, and one look at the movie stills and trailer tell the story of all the hard work.
The look of the lead actors, their clothes, the locations, all are very classy and stylish. The director is shooting the film in some never-before-seen locales of the world.
Similarly Billa, starring Ajith, Nayantara and Namitha is a real visual treat. One glimpse of the trailer is enough to conclude that this film is going to rewrite the way action flicks are made down south. Ajith looks simply awesome!
Looks like we have our own style idol now in Sivaji, Kanthaswamy and Billa!

B’coz of the spell of rain, lots of shooting schedules have gone away. Susi Ganesan’s ‘Kandasamy’ has water as its central theme, so how can they shy away from a little rain?
Produced by Thanu and starring Vikram and Shriya, ‘Kandasamy’ shooting was to start today. B’coz of the rainy weather, people did wonder if that would happen. But Susi Ganesan can make nectar out of water.
He planned to shoot a scene where Vikram gets wet in the rain today. The scene would look natural and he could also save the cost of making imitation studio rain! The shooting will start on Chennai’s
Actually, Susi Ganesan had planned yesterday - to shoot this rain scene when it was raining non-stop. As if to act erratic, till noon this morning, there has been no rain at all !!
